Terms of use
These terms apply when you use the NoCrumb app. By using it you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. How we handle your data is explained in the privacy policy.
Who we are
NoCrumb is made and run by an individual developer. You can reach us at harishanbalagandev@gmail.com.
A reading aid, not a guarantee
NoCrumb helps you read ingredient labels, menus and dishes. It is not medical advice, and it cannot see how food was made, stored or handled.
- Results such as "contains gluten", "no gluten ingredients found" and "certified gluten free" come from the text the app could read and from its ingredient knowledge base. Text recognition can miss or misread words, labels can be incomplete or out of date, and recipes change.
- Product data from Open Food Facts and from other users, restaurant listings and reviews come from the community. We do not check every item, and they may be wrong or out of date.
- The chef card explains your needs to staff. It cannot guarantee how they prepare your food.
- AI meal plans are generated by the provider you choose and may contain mistakes.
If you have coeliac disease, an allergy or another medical need, always check with the manufacturer or restaurant and follow your doctor's advice. You decide what you eat.
Using the app
- You must be at least 13 years old to use NoCrumb.
- Most features work without an account. If you sign in, keep access to your Google or Apple account secure. You are responsible for what is posted from your account.
- Do not misuse the app or its server: no attempts to break in, overload it, scrape it in bulk or get around its limits.
What you post
Reviews, flags, restaurant suggestions and reports, product submissions, your display name and your profile photo are your content. Post only what is true to your experience and that you have the right to share. Do not post anything that is unlawful, abusive, hateful, sexual, misleading, spam or someone else's personal information. Your profile photo must be of you or something you are free to use, and must not be offensive.
By posting reviews, suggestions, reports or product submissions, you let NoCrumb store, display, edit for length or format, and share them inside the app with other users, for as long as they are part of the service. Approved products and restaurants may stay in the directory after you delete your account, without your name. Your profile photo is private to you, and we use it only to show it back to you in the app.
Moderators may hide or remove content, and we may suspend an account that breaks these rules.
NoCrumb Premium
NoCrumb Premium unlocks extra features, such as unlimited scans, AI meal plans, the restaurant map, saved places and symptom trends. The free version of the app keeps working without it.
- Plans. Premium is offered as a monthly or annual subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app and in the App Store or Google Play before you buy, in your local currency, and may include taxes. Prices can differ between countries.
- Payment. Payment is taken by Apple or Google from your store account when you confirm the purchase. Their terms of sale also apply.
- Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your store account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Free trials. Where a free trial is offered, it is shown before you subscribe. When it ends, the subscription starts and you are charged, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. A trial is available once per store account.
- Cancelling. You can cancel or change a subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app, your data or your NoCrumb account does not cancel a subscription.
- Price changes. If a subscription price goes up, Apple or Google tells you in advance, and where the law or store rules require it, asks you to agree before the new price applies.
- Lifetime. The lifetime purchase is a single payment that unlocks Premium for as long as NoCrumb offers it on your store account, with no renewals.
- Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple and Google, so refunds follow their policies. Ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or Google through your Google Play order history. Nothing in these terms limits any refund rights you have by law.
- Restoring. To use Premium on another phone, sign in to the same store account and tap Restore purchases in the app, or sign in to the same NoCrumb account.
We may change which features are included in Premium over time. If we stop offering a feature you paid for, we will tell you in the app.
App Store and Google Play
If you got NoCrumb from the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google, and Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its content. If you got NoCrumb from Google Play, Google Play's terms of service also apply.
Other services
Some features use other services, such as Google or Apple sign-in, Open Food Facts, OpenStreetMap maps and, if you add your own API key, an AI provider. Their own terms apply when you use them, and with an AI key you pay that provider directly under your account.
Changes and responsibility
- We may update, change or stop parts of the app. We try to keep it working, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
- The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or harm that comes from relying on a result, a listing, a review or a meal plan, or from the app being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability or consumer rights that cannot be limited by law.
- You can stop using NoCrumb at any time and delete your account in the app. See how to delete your account.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update this page and its effective date. If a change matters to you, such as a change to Premium, we will also tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using NoCrumb after that, the new terms apply.
